Receiver-in-canal

Receiver in Canal hearing aids are the most common style. This style of hearing aid sits on top of the ear in a discreet casing with a small dome or custom tip fitting completely in the ear canal.

Receiver-in-canal hearing aids are suitable for a wide range of hearing losses from mild to profound, whilst providing natural sound quality.

The main benefits of receiver-in-canal hearing aids is dual microphones. This allows the hearing aids to make use of directional sound processing to help filter speech in background noise.

As the main component sits on-top of your ear the hearing aid does not cause occlusion within the ear canal allowing a more natural sound experience.

Due to advancements in technology most receiver-in-canal hearing aids are now rechargeable, bluetooth compatible and wireless.

In-the-ear

In-the-ear hearing aids are expertly custom-moulded to fit the unique shape of your ear, ensuring a comfortable and discreet experience.

With no components sitting on top of or behind the ear, these aids rest securely in the bowl of your ear and extend into the canal. They cater to a variety of hearing losses and are perfect for those seeking a discreet solution or facing challenges with behind-the-ear devices.

Thanks to modern advancements, many in-the-ear models now feature, Bluetooth, and rechargeable technology for enhanced convenience and performance.

Invisible In-the-canal

Invisible in-the-canal (IIC) hearing aids fit entirely within your ear canal, providing the most discreet and invisible style available.

Generally suited for mild to moderate hearing losses, these tiny devices often lack features like rechargeability, Bluetooth connectivity, and directional microphones.

It's essential to consult your Audiologist to determine if IIC hearing aids are the right choice for your specific hearing needs.

Behind-the-ear

Behind-the-ear hearing aids are designed to sit comfortably behind the ear, delivering sound through a rubber dome or custom earmould mould inserted into the ear canal.

This style is ideal for individuals with dexterity challenges or those experiencing severe to profound hearing loss.

Today, many behind-the-ear hearing aids come equipped with rechargeable batteries and advanced features like Bluetooth wireless technology, enhancing the user experience and connectivity.
